Poland will see a shift in weather following the May Day holiday, with rain, thunderstorms, and even ground frosts anticipated across much of the country.
Sunday, May 3rd: Generally Sunny, Temperatures Up to 28°C
Sunday in Poland will be mostly clear or partly cloudy, with increasing cloud cover in the northwest. Maximum temperatures will range from 22°C to 26°C in the east and 25°C to 28°C in the west.
It will be cooler near the coast and in the foothills, around 20°C. Winds will be weak to moderate, occasionally gusty in the south, predominantly southwesterly, and from the north near the coast. Stronger winds are possible in the Sudetes mountains.
Sunday Night to Monday: Potential for Ground Frost
Synoptic forecasters are warning of potential ground frosts overnight. Skies will be mostly clear or partly cloudy, with moderate to heavy cloud cover in the north and west.
Isolated showers are possible in the far northwest. Minimum temperatures will range from 6°C in the south to around 10°C in the center and 15°C in the northwest. Cooler temperatures, between 2°C and 4°C, are expected in the Carpathian foothills, with localized ground frosts down to -1°C.
Monday, May 4th: Rain and Thunderstorms in the Northwest
Monday will be clear in the southeast, with moderate to heavy cloud cover elsewhere. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the northwest.
Maximum temperatures will range from 22°C in the north to 25°C in the center and 26°C in the south. It will be cooler near the coast, between 18°C and 20°C, and in the foothills, around 21°C. Wind gusts up to 55 km/h are possible in the mountains, and during thunderstorms, winds could reach 65 km/h.
Warsaw Weather: Sunny and Up to 26°C
Warsaw will experience minimal cloud cover on Sunday, with a maximum temperature of 26°C. The overnight low will be 13°C. Monday will again see temperatures reaching 26°C.
