Polish meteorological agencies issue multiple warnings for freezing rain and black ice across several regions as weather services remain on high alert.
IMGW warns against freezing precipitation
IMGW issued level 2 warnings against freezing precipitation. Alerts will be valid until 10 AM on Sunday, January 25, in the voivodeships of Opole, Silesia, Świętokrzyskie, Małopolska, and Podkarpackie.
“Weak freezing rain and drizzle periods are forecasted, causing black ice” – wrote the synopticians. Meanwhile, level 1 warnings were issued for southern districts of the voivodeships of Łódź, Lower Silesia, Greater Poland, Masovia, and Lublin, which will be valid until 4 PM on Saturday.

Government Security Center sent a warning in this matter to people in the voivodeships of Silesia, Małopolska, Podkarpackie, Świętokrzyskie, Lublin, Łódź, and Opole.
“Attention! Today and tonight (23/24.01) freezing rain and black ice are possible. Limit travel. Stay at home if you can. Be careful on roads and sidewalks” – written in the alert.
