Weekend Tram Disruptions on Marszałkowska and Andersa

Warsaw tram infrastructure crews will perform maintenance works on May 23-24, requiring route changes and service suspensions along Marszałkowska and Andersa streets to prepare for upcoming heating network repairs.

Track Maintenance at Plac Zbawiciela

On May 23-24, crews will repair a track section on the south side of Plac Zbawiciela near the pedestrian crossing. Consequently, trams will not operate on the Marszałkowska and Puławska section between Goworka and Plac Zbawiciela throughout the weekend. The pedestrian crossing at the church side will be temporarily relocated.

These repairs are essential for future infrastructure projects. In mid-June, Veolia will begin renovating a heating main, forcing trams to detour from Aleja Niepodległości via Puławska and Marszałkowska for several months; this route must be prepared for the increased traffic load.

Service Changes and Route Diversions

Lines 14 and 18 will not run during the weekend, while line 31 will be extended to Metro Wilanowska. Line 33 will be redirected via Nowowiejska, Krzywickiego, Filtrowa, and Grójecka to the Banacha loop.

Lines 4, 10, 11, and 16 will bypass the closed section of Marszałkowska by utilizing the recently opened track on Rakowiecka, connecting through Aleja Niepodległości, Rakowiecka, and Puławska.

Andersa Junction Works

On Sunday, May 24, a switch will be replaced at the north side of the Andersa/Stawki junction. Trams will not operate on the section of Andersa between Międzyparkowa and Muranowska, and the pedestrian crossing near the Intraco building will be closed.

Lines 15 and 36 will be rerouted via Słowackiego, Popiełuszki, Aleja Jana Pawła II, and Stawki. Line 15 will start from the Metro Marymont loop. Line 6 will maintain its regular route along Międzyparkowa and Mickiewicza.
