Went Out to Take Out Trash. Her Body Was Found Later. “Numerous Injuries”. Police Seek Help

On March 2, 2000, cleaner Danuta Matusik went outside to dispose of trash at her workplace in Rybnik, but never returned.

The Disappearance

Danuta Matusik, a married mother of four working as a cleaner at a vocational school in Rybnik, went outside to dispose of trash bags on March 2, 2000. When she didn’t return, her colleagues became concerned and began searching.

During the search, her body was found. An ambulance and police were called to the scene. A doctor determined death occurred with the involvement of third parties. Trash bags and wooden clogs were found next to the body.

The Investigation

The autopsy revealed “numerous injuries caused by sharp or sharp-edged tools.” Experts determined the cause of death was bleeding and damage to internal organs. During the investigation, potential suspects were identified, but no charges were filed.

Based on witness testimony, a composite sketch was made of a man seen in a nearby bar on the day of the incident, who was reportedly washing blood off his hands in the bathroom.

Appeal for Information

Despite extensive efforts, the perpetrator and motive for Danuta Matusik’s murder have not yet been established. Police now have tools and capabilities that didn’t exist in 2000, and are re-analyzing every detail of the case.

“We believe the truth is within reach,” said an operational officer from the X Files. Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have details about the incident, particularly people near the school on the evening of March 2, 2000.
