Polish farmers urge President Karol Nawrocki to veto revised cybersecurity law, citing export risks from China before February 19 deadline.
Farmers’ Petition to President
By February 19, President Nawrocki must decide the fate of the amended national cybersecurity law. On the final stretch, petitions from various industries aim to persuade him not to sign the bill in its current parliamentary form.
Farmers are among those expressing concerns.
Export Fears Over Milk
“The agricultural industry sent a letter to the president stating that a serious threat could emerge from China,” says Tomasz Obszański, presidential advisor on agriculture, speaking to DGP.
He adds that if the system were implemented, restrictions on milk exports could arise.
Broader Industry Worries
“There are various concerns about not losing market share while trying to grow,” Obszański explains, reflecting fears shared across multiple sectors.
