Registration for Warsaw’s “Winter in the City 2026” holiday program opens online on November 21 and will run from January 19‑30, 2026, offering full‑day care for children of city residents.
Registration Period
Parents may enrol their children online from November 21 via the city’s electronic registration system. The list of qualified children will be published on December 12 at 16:00, after which parents must complete formalities. The final admission decision is made by the specific holiday educational unit that runs the camp.
Eligibility Criteria
The program is addressed to students attending Warsaw schools and children with a permanent residence in the city, covering both elementary and secondary pupils. It also includes attendees of special education schools if they are registered as city students.
Program Schedule
The winter edition runs during the Mazovian holidays from January 19 to January 30, 2026. During this period, selected schools operating as Holiday Educational Units will provide care and activities from Monday to Friday, roughly 7:00‑8:00 to 16:00‑17:00.
Fees and Exemptions
A uniform fee applies to all children in a Holiday Educational Unit. Children who use the school’s free lunch program or receive special educational support are exempt upon presenting a certificate from their home school. Children with health restrictions who cannot partake in communal meals, certified by a doctor, are exempt from meal fees, but parents must provide suitable food themselves.
Activities and Attractions
The city promises a rich offering of educational, sports, cultural and artistic sessions for all age groups, along with full‑day supervision and meals. Each Holiday Educational Unit prepares its own detailed schedule, including art, dance, theatre workshops and trips to interesting city locations.
Important Information and Contact
All recruitment details, fee information, and rules are published on the city’s recruitment platform for “Winter in the City.” Additional notices such as lists of participating schools, operating hours, activity descriptions, and extra attractions are also posted on the individual schools’ websites and on cultural and sports centres involved in the program.
