Wipler Demands Apology from Tusk, Sets Midnight Ultimatum

Polish MP Przemysław Wipler is demanding an apology from Prime Minister Donald Tusk over allegations linking his foundation to a presidential veto, threatening legal action.

Tusk’s Allegations and Wipler’s Response

Donald Tusk suggested that the activities of the DobryRząd Foundation were connected to President Duda’s veto of a bill on crypto-assets, a claim Wipler calls “absurd” and a defamation of character.

Wipler stated he had no discussions regarding the bill with anyone from the President’s Chancellery.

Ultimatum and Potential Legal Action

Wipler demanded an apology from Tusk by midnight, otherwise he will file a defamation complaint and accuse Tusk of exceeding his authority by publicly disclosing information gathered by the ABW (Internal Security Agency).

“Zondacrypto Affair” and ABW Findings

The dispute stems from information presented by Tusk regarding connections between right-wing politicians and the Zondacrypto cryptocurrency exchange, as uncovered by the ABW.

Tusk called for a swift vote to override the President’s veto on the crypto-asset regulation bill and urged its rejection.

Financial Connections Revealed

According to ABW information shared by Tusk, Zondacrypto’s CEO, Przemysław Kral, made payments of 450,000 PLN to the Zbigniew Ziobro’s Instytut Polski Suwerennej in October and November 2025, prior to the first presidential veto on crypto regulations.

A portion of these funds was reportedly used for legal representation for Dariusz Matecki and Father Michał Olszewski.

Donations to Wipler’s Foundation

Tusk also revealed a 70,000 EUR transaction from a company linked to Zondacrypto and Kral to the Dobry Rząd Foundation of Przemysław Wipler.

Zondacrypto was also a main sponsor of a CPAC event attended by then-President Andrzej Duda and candidate Karol Nawrocki in May 2025.

Wipler’s Counterclaims and Investigation Request

Wipler intends to request the legal basis for surveillance activities conducted against institutions linked to the political opposition, as well as the justification for Tusk’s public disclosure of intelligence information.

He confirmed his foundation had a commercial partnership with Expofer Servis House, a company associated with Zondacrypto, providing analytical services unrelated to the crypto-asset legislation.
