Wipler Denies Taking Funds From Zondacrypto-Linked Firm

Confederation MP Przemysław Wipler has denied receiving personal payments from an entity linked to Zondacrypto, following Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s allegations that a foundation managed by the MP received 70,000 euros.

Allegations and the Prime Minister’s Claims

In April, Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that Expofer Service House, a company linked to Zondacrypto and Przemysław Kral, transferred 70,000 euros to the Good Government foundation, chaired by MP Przemysław Wipler. Tusk also noted that Zondacrypto served as a primary sponsor for the CPAC event during the presidential campaign.

Wipler’s Response and Legal Action

Przemysław Wipler announced that he has filed a notice to the prosecutor’s office alleging that Prime Minister Donald Tusk committed crimes involving the abuse of power, violation of service secrets, and breach of banking confidentiality. The MP asserts that Tusk disclosed information he had no right to reveal, accompanied by false interpretations.

Wipler clarified that the “Good Government” foundation serves as a think tank and that the funds were compensation for image-consulting services. He stated that the cooperation lasted for seven months, spanning parts of 2023 and 2024, and emphasized that he performs his role at the foundation pro bono, receiving no personal salary.

Legislative Work and Financial Status

The MP denied any involvement in drafting legislation related to the MiCA regulation for the cryptocurrency market. He maintained that the foundation’s services were strictly limited to analytical work unrelated to the legislative process.

Financial records for 2023 show the Good Government foundation reported 395,000 PLN in profit, including 255,000 PLN from business activities and 424,000 PLN in donations.

Investigations into Zondacrypto

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Katowice is currently investigating allegations of fraud and money laundering involving the Zondacrypto exchange. Reports suggest that total damages for clients unable to withdraw funds exceed 350 million PLN.

The exchange reportedly holds a wallet of 4,500 bitcoins valued at over 300 million USD, though CEO Przemysław Kral has stated that the access keys remain with the missing founder of the exchange’s predecessor, BitBay, Sylwester Suszek.

Prime Minister Tusk also alleged that in late 2025, Przemysław Kral transferred 450,000 PLN to the Polish Sovereign Institute foundation, linked to Zbigniew Ziobro, and publicly questioned whether Jarosław Kaczyński was aware that his deputy received funds from Zondacrypto.
