Witness Intervention on Mołdawskiej Street
On Friday, May 8, at 4:46 PM, police received a report regarding a drunk driver on Mołdawskiej Street in Ochota. According to witnesses, the man stopped his car in the middle of a pedestrian crossing, exited the vehicle with an unsteady gait, and walked away to relieve himself.
A man walking his dog noticed the situation, approached the car, took the keys, and turned off the vehicle to prevent the driver from continuing. The incident was recorded by a grocery store camera, which may be used as evidence in the ongoing police investigation.
Police Confrontation and Arrest
Three police crews responded to the scene. The driver, a 25-year-old Polish citizen, was reportedly uncooperative and aggressive, forcing officers to use physical restraint. As the man refused a breathalyzer test, blood was taken for further analysis.
The driver has been detained, and legal proceedings will continue once he is sober. The vehicle was towed to a police impound lot.
