Allegations of Impairment
On the evening of February 9, 2026, a man called the emergency number to report that a traffic police officer from the Wołomin County Police Station who was intervening with him might be under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances.
Immediate Investigation
Immediate actions were taken to verify this information. A sobriety test of both the officer and the driver showed that both men were sober. However, when both were tested for drug content, both tested positive. Blood samples were taken from both men for further examination.
Official Response
The prosecutor was immediately notified of the situation, and the information was also forwarded to the Police Internal Affairs Bureau. The Wołomin County Police Commander has since decided to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the officer and suspend him from performing his duties.
