USS Gerald R. Ford Resumes Operations
The American aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest warship, has returned to operations under “Epic Fury” after a five-day port visit in Split, Croatia, according to the US Navy, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
The US military stated the ship is underway and “ready to execute the full scope of its assigned mission.” The vessel underwent repairs following an onboard fire unrelated to combat operations.
Operation Epic Fury and US Actions Against Iran
In October, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth ordered the ship to the Caribbean to support US operations against Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro before its recall. The carrier subsequently returned to the Mediterranean due to the US-Israel conflict with Iran.
