Victim’s Account to Police
Police at a Warsaw station received a report from a 24‑year‑old man who described an incident that occurred on his return from a nightclub. He said he was approached by a stranger requesting directions to the city center. He agreed to help but was suddenly attacked.
Details of the Attack
The attacker punched him in the face, forced fingers into his eyes and coerced him into a sexual act. He was robbed of all portable belongings and had his glasses and hearing aids destroyed, causing a total loss of more than 18,000 zlotys.
Medical and Financial Impact
The victim sustained numerous external and internal injuries leading to serious health risks. The total financial damage was estimated at over 18,000 zlotys.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Investigators and the criminal police quickly investigated the case, collecting and analysing extensive evidence. They identified the suspect as a local male aged 24 and arrested him shortly thereafter. The evidence was forwarded to the Warsaw‑Praga South District Prosecutor’s Office.
Charges and Court Proceedings
The suspect was charged with robbery, assault, causing grave bodily harm, another sexual act, concealment of documents and destruction of property. On the prosecutor’s request, the court imposed temporary arrest, and the 24‑year‑old was detained. The proceedings are being supervised by the Warsaw‑Praga South District Prosecutor’s Office.
