Former Polish justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro told Polsat News he will only return to Poland once the rule of law is restored, while denouncing Donald Tusk as a hypocrite.
Condition for Ziobro’s Return
Former justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro told Polsat News that he will return to Poland only when rule of law has been restored. His decision depends on the government beginning to act in accordance with legal principles.
Strong Criticism of Tusk’s “Criminal Troop”
Ziobro blasted Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his administration, calling Tusk’s policies “lawlessness” and accusing the cabinet of forming a “criminal troop” that governs Poland. He argued that Tusk, though elected with a democratic mandate, has no right to break the law.
Challenge to the Independence of Courts
Ziobro dismissed claims that his case could be decided by independent judges, asserting that such judges would be appointed by officials he deems illegitimate. He acknowledged that he has broken the law.
Ziobro Accuses Tusk and Ruling Camp of Hypocrisy
Recalling a speech from two years ago, Ziobro urged observers not to become the hypocrites he described from the State Tribunal era. He accused Tusk of repeatedly breaking the law, failing to arrest him, and using constitutional violations to protect himself.
