Polish diplomat Marcin Przydacz welcomed the emphasis on mutual respect, saying they are working on the leaders’ meeting date in Warsaw and that diplomatic relations remain open and active.

Sikorski Comments on Etiquette

Polish foreign minister Radosław Sikorski said a persistent demand for apologies and tribute while the host country is fighting for its life was unpleasant, but he noted that the crown should not fall from the head if Zelensky visited Warsaw. He stressed diplomatic norms that a younger president visits an older one, but war has its own rules.
