Zelensky: Return to Just Borders for Occupied Territories

Ukrainian President Zelensky declares Russia has started World War III and vows to reclaim all occupied territories.

Zelensky: Putin Has Started World War III

Ukrainian President Zelenski stated in a BBC interview that he believes Putin has already started World War III. “The question is how much territory he will manage to take and how to stop him… Russia wants to impose a different lifestyle on the world and change the life that people chose for themselves,” said Zelenski. “I believe that stopping Putin today and preventing him from occupying Ukraine is a victory for the whole world. Because Putin will not stop at Ukraine,” he added.

Ukraine Vows to Reclaim All Occupied Land

Zelenski also announced that his country will regain all territory occupied by Russia. “We will do this. It is absolutely clear. It’s just a matter of time. Doing this today would mean losing a huge number of people, millions of people, because the [Russian – ed.] army is large, and we understand the cost of such actions,” said the Ukrainian president. “We also don’t have enough weapons. This depends not only on us, but also on our partners. For now, it’s not possible, but returning to the just borders of 1991 is not only a victory, but also justice.”

Nighttime Attacks Cause Casualties

During the night from Sunday to Monday (February 22-23), in a Russian drone attack on the Odesa region, two people were killed and three were wounded. The unmanned aircraft struck industrial, energy, and civilian infrastructure. At night, Russians also attacked the Zaporizhzhia region. In Zaporizhzhia, one person was killed and one was wounded. According to the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fyodorov, an important element of industrial infrastructure was damaged.

Potential Putin-Zelenski Meeting

A meeting between Zelensky and Putin could take place within three weeks. This was stated in an interview with Fox News by Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump’s envoy. The US representative added that he does not rule out that the US president could also join the talks. On the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainian and independent Russian commentators do not believe in a quick end to the war.
