Zelensky Warns of Impending Russian Mobilization Drive

President Volodymyr Zelensky warns that Russia is preparing a new wave of mobilization to compensate for heavy casualties and increase its occupation forces by tens of thousands of personnel.

Zelensky Warns of New Mobilization

According to President Zelensky, Russia is initiating a new mobilization wave to offset significant losses on occupied Ukrainian territory. He stated that Russian authorities have intensified the issuance of mobilization orders, aiming to expand their military contingent by at least tens of thousands of additional soldiers.

Zelensky emphasized that these actions demonstrate Moscow’s lack of interest in genuine diplomacy. He confirmed that Ukraine is sharing relevant intelligence with international partners and noted that his administration is focusing on long-range sanctions, specifically targeting Russia’s oil industry infrastructure.

Shift in Frontline Initiative

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported that Ukraine is gradually gaining the initiative on the front. Data indicates that Russian losses have climbed to over 35,000 killed or wounded per month, with the casualty rate per square kilometer of seized territory rising sharply since October.

Business Concerns and Global Appeals

Following a recent meeting between Vladimir Putin and the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, oligarchs have expressed skepticism regarding current security measures. These business leaders have requested heavy weaponry and additional reservists to bolster defense efforts.

Separately, Zelensky has written to U.S. President Donald Trump, warning of critical shortages in air defense systems. The Ukrainian leader specifically requested Patriot PAC-3 missiles and additional batteries to counter the ongoing barrage of Russian ballistic missile attacks.
