Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated Russia intends to deploy four drone control stations in Belarus and on Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory.
Russia to Deploy Drone Control Stations
Russia plans to deploy drone control stations on both Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory and in Belarus, specifically four stations in Belarus, according to Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy stated he has instructed Oleksiy Ivashchenko, the head of foreign intelligence, to share this information with Kyiv’s partners and the media for public release.
Belarusian-Russian Cooperation on Drones
Zelenskyy recalled that Russia deployed a drone relay system in Belarus during the second half of 2025, enhancing Russia’s ability to launch attacks on northern Ukrainian regions, from Kyiv to Volyn.
He also asserted that Belarusian leader Aleksandr Lukashenko not only provided Belarus’s territory for Russia’s medium-range missile system, Orieshnik, but also that Belarusian enterprises supplied key components for the weapon.
Sanctions Against Lukashenko
In February, Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting a decision by the National Security and Defense Council to impose sanctions on Belarusian leader Aleksandr Lukashenko.
Russian Disinformation Efforts
Zelenskyy assessed that Russian command consistently attempts to exaggerate its military achievements on the front lines, later using this inflated information in negotiations involving the United States.
