Former Polish justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro has supplied two foreign addresses to the prosecutor, hoping to evade a potential temporary arrest by the authorities.
Zbigniew Ziobro Provides Two Foreign Addresses
Former justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro sent the prosecutor two addresses where correspondence can be received. One is in Brussels, where Ziobro has lived for more than a year with his wife Patrycja Kotecka‑Ziobro, who works as an assistant in the European Parliament. The second address is located in Hungary. Lawyer Bartosz Lewandowski said the politician will receive mail at these locations.
Proposal for Remote Interrogation to Avoid Detention
Ziobro’s lawyer proposed that the former minister be questioned via consular procedures or international assistance, allowing the interrogation to be carried out remotely. The suggestion would permit him to sidestep a temporary arrest that prosecutors might pursue due to concerns that he is hiding abroad. The Sejm has already approved the lifting of his parliamentary immunity on 7 November.
