Ziobro Speaks Remotely, Promises Return in Hours if Judicial Reforms Approved

Zbigniew Ziobro, Poland’s Justice Minister, declared from abroad that he would come to Warsaw within hours if his demands for judicial reforms and restoration of prosecutor authority are met.

Remote Declaration

Zbigniew Ziobro said he chose to confront and resist injustice by staying abroad. He promised to return immediately to Poland should he find courts operating independently and the prosecutor’s office functioning under the law.

Conditions for Return

Ziobro added that he would appear in the country within a few hours if the random allocation of cases to judges is restored. He cited this as a prerequisite for his return.

Reinstatement Demands

He also demanded the reinstatement of court presidents who were illegally dismissed and the reinstatement of several criminal division judges who had been unjustly removed from their roles. Additionally, he insisted on restoring legal authority in the prosecutor’s office, including a legitimate national prosecutor.
