Ziobro to Become TV Republika Commentator from USA

From the United States, former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro announced his new role as a TV Republika commentator while accusing the Polish government of fabricating legal charges against him.

Commentary and Exile in the US

Zbigniew Ziobro announced during an interview with Edyta Lewandowska that he will serve as a political commentator for TV Republika. He emphasized that he does not intend to hide and plans to remain in the United States to utilize American freedom while observing events in Poland.

Allegations of Judicial Manipulation

Ziobro accused Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek of manipulating the judiciary and “fixing” judges to determine case outcomes before trials even occur. He claimed that the charges against him are fabricated and the result of a political order from Donald Tusk’s government.

He asserted that the government’s ultimate goal is not a fair trial, but to imprison him and parade him in handcuffs before cameras. Ziobro stated he is willing to face a truly independent court, contrasting the current Polish system with the independence of U.S. courts.

Political Conflict and Media Control

The former minister criticized those he claims have seized media and courts by force, describing it as theft used for the benefit of a political party. He noted that a judge in Marcin Romanowski’s case became a target of a smear campaign for making an independent decision.

Relocation from Hungary to America

Ziobro and his wife, Patrycja Kotęcka, relocated to the US after receiving a visa personally approved by Donald Trump, despite objections from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Ambassador to Poland Tom Rose.

Previously, Ziobro and Marcin Romanowski held political asylum in Budapest under Viktor Orbán. This changed following the victory of Peter Magyar and the TISZA party in Hungarian elections, with Magyar stating the Polish politicians would not remain in the country for long.
