Poland’s Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) is phasing out ePUAP for individual communications, rendering submissions via that platform legally ineffective from March 12, 2026.
ZUS Ends ePUAP Access for Clients
ZUS is discontinuing ePUAP as a communication channel for clients, meaning any documents sent through this platform will no longer be legally valid. This change impacts millions of individuals, including entrepreneurs, pensioners, and those applying for benefits.
Previously a popular method for contacting government agencies, ePUAP submissions to ZUS made after March 12, 2026, will be treated as if they were never filed.
Impact on Deadlines and Legal Standing
The change poses a risk to those relying on ePUAP for time-sensitive submissions, as documents sent through the platform may be deemed invalid, potentially leading to missed deadlines and loss of rights.
ZUS emphasizes that after March 12, 2026, submissions via ePUAP will have no legal effect.
Transition to e-Delivery and eZUS Portal
ZUS is transitioning to a new system called e-Delivery, designed to function similarly to registered mail with electronic confirmation of receipt, as part of a broader digital communication reform.
Clients can now utilize the eZUS portal and e-Delivery as the primary electronic channels for contacting ZUS.
What to Do with Previous ePUAP Submissions
Documents submitted to ZUS via ePUAP before March 11, 2026, will still be processed. However, those sent after that date may be considered ineffective.
Individuals who submitted documents after March 12th are advised to check their status and resubmit via eZUS or e-Delivery, or contact ZUS’s hotline at 22 560 16 00.
