Poland’s ZUS is sending tax forms to over 10 million recipients of social security benefits nationwide.

ZUS Sending Documents to Over 10 Million Taxpayers

Poland’s Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) announced on February 18, 2026 that it has sent tax forms to over 10 million taxpayers via postal operators. The letters contain PIT-40A, PIT-11, and PIT-11A forms for individuals who received at least one social security benefit in the past year.

Tax Forms Being Distributed

ZUS is sending three types of tax forms: PIT-40A, PIT-11, and PIT-11A to eligible recipients nationwide.

PIT-40A for Pensioners and Disability Recipients

The PIT-40A form is directed specifically to pensioners and disability benefit recipients.

Who Receives PIT-11A?

ZUS reminds that the PIT-11A form goes to individuals who meet specific criteria.

Who Receives PIT-11?

The PIT-11 form is for individuals who received benefits from ZUS due to the death of another person or received deductions from benefits paid by ZUS based on a court ruling, or allowances to meet family needs if they are in separate property relations with their spouse.

How to File Taxes with ZUS

Benefit recipients can file taxes using the e-PIT system, with important deadlines that must be met.

Tax Deductions and Credits

If benefit recipients want to take advantage of tax deductions and credits (e.g., for medicines, rehabilitation, or donations), they must file their own PIT-37 or PIT-36 forms by April 30, 2026.
