A 14-year-old girl was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries after falling from an electric scooter in Legionowo on Tuesday.

A 14-year-old from Legionowo was hospitalized following a serious e-scooter accident. Police are investigating the incident and the vehicle’s condition; the girl was not wearing a helmet.

The accident occurred on April 16th, after 4:00 PM in Legionowo, as the teenager was riding an electric scooter on a service road towards Strużańska Street. She fell onto the asphalt and sustained severe injuries, requiring transport by an Air Ambulance.

Initial Findings

Preliminary investigations indicate the 14-year-old was riding without a protective helmet. She was initially unconscious and was first transported by ambulance to the Legionowo Municipal Stadium, where the Air Ambulance landed.

Vehicle and Licensing

The scooter was privately owned, and the injured girl possessed a bicycle card, indicating she had the required permissions to operate such a vehicle. Police are examining the scooter’s technical condition, including whether it had been unlocked or exceeded speed limits.

Ongoing Investigation

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined. Witnesses will be questioned, and further investigative actions are underway.
