A 41-year-old man has been remanded in custody for two months after attempting to rob his mother at knifepoint and threatening his neighbors at an apartment on Perzyńskiego Street in Warsaw.
Assault and Attempted Robbery
In an apartment on Perzyńskiego Street in the Bielany district, a 41-year-old man forced his way into his mother’s home. After damaging the door to a room where she had locked herself, he physically assaulted her, twisting her arms and demanding money and jewelry. He later threatened her with a knife before she managed to escape the premises.
Threats Against Neighbors
On the same day and within the same building, the suspect confronted a neighbor while brandishing a knife. He directed death threats toward the man, as well as his wife and daughter, causing them to fear for their safety.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Police arrested the suspect at the scene and placed him in a cell. After evidence was gathered, he was charged with attempted robbery, property damage, criminal threats, and insulting a police officer. He faces up to 10 years in prison. The District Prosecutor’s Office for Warsaw Żoliborz is overseeing the case, and the court has ordered his detention for two months.
