5 Injured Including 4 Children in S17 Car Collision

Five people, including four children, were injured in a two-car collision on the S17 highway near Jatne.

Collision Details

The incident occurred on the S17 route at kilometer 15, at the exit to Jatne in Otwock county. A Fiat Punto, driven by a 48-year-old woman, collided with a BMW driven by a 74-year-old man on the lane heading toward Lublin.

Victims and Medical Response

Five people were injured in the crash: the 48-year-old Fiat driver and children aged 5, 11, 12 and 13 who were traveling with her. The injured were taken to the hospital. Both drivers were sober and had valid driver’s licenses.

The drivers’ accounts of how the incident occurred differ. The woman claims that the BMW driver was reversing toward the exit, while the 74-year-old states he was standing on the emergency lane, and the Fiat driver struck the rear of his car.
