On 1 October the Lower Silesian Sejmik’s PiS club expelled several members amid internal conflict, sparking accusations of unilateral decision‑making and prompting further attacks.
Statement from Vice Marshal
Vice Marshal Marcin Krzyżanowski said on Wednesday, 1 October that, with sadness and surprise, he accepted the decision to exclude PiS representatives from the Lower Silesian Sejmik club. He blamed certain politicians and activists—who repeatedly put their ambitions before the party’s interests—for causing a sharp conflict that ultimately split the club, and claimed the exclusion was based on a one‑sided, false account that obscured the true situation from national authorities.
List of Expelled Members
Magdalena Brodowska, Przemysław Czarnecki, Łukasz Lach, Marcin Krzyżanowski, Paweł Kura, Krzysztof Mróz, and Ewelina Szydłowska‑Kędzia were expelled from the PiS club.
Remaining PiS Members
Tytus Czartoryski, Paweł Grabek, Damian Mrozek, Piotr Karwan (club chairman), Andrzej Kredkowski, and Małgorzata Calińska‑Mayer remain in the club.
Reasons Behind Exclusion
Local media report that the decision stemmed from internal friction within the PiS club and deputies’ attitudes toward decisions made by regional authorities.
