Collision at Bonifraterska St. Halts Traffic Near Polonia Stadium

On 1 Oct around 9 a.m., a head‑on collision between a Volkswagen and a Volvo on Bonifraterska Street in Warsaw’s city centre halted traffic near Polonia Stadium, with the Volkswagen driver fined 1,100 zł.

Collision Details

At about 9:00 a.m. on 1 October, a Volkswagen struck a Volvo on Bonifraterska Street in central Warsaw. The Volkswagen driver, exiting the street adjacent to the block, failed to yield to the Volvo traveling from the stadium.

After impact, the Volkswagen collided with traffic signs and stopped on the sidewalk, temporarily disrupting the area around the Polonia stadium.

Emergency Response

Firefighters and a medical rescue team were dispatched to the scene. Medical examination of the occupants revealed no need for hospital transport.

Police Action

Police who conducted the investigation imposed a 1,100 zł fine on the Volkswagen driver for the collision.

Event Closure

By around 11:00 a.m., firefighters secured the site and handed it over to other services. Damaged signs and road elements were protected, and traffic continued under police direction.
