Central Bureau of Investigation officers raided a professional synthetic drug lab in Maków County, seizing 25 kilograms of Alfa-PVP and arresting two 19-year-old Ukrainian citizens caught in the act of production.
Professional Laboratory Dismantled
Following intelligence regarding illegal psychotropic substance production, CBŚP officers raided a property in Maków County in late May. The facility was found to be a fully equipped laboratory designed for the large-scale manufacture of synthetic drugs.
Located in agricultural outbuildings, the site contained advanced technological equipment, including a chemical reactor, mechanical presses, electric stirrers, and ventilation systems. Investigators also seized numerous containers, laboratory glassware, and protective gear.
Substantial Seizure and Criminal Charges
Authorities recovered over 25 kilograms of ready-to-sell Alfa-PVP, with an estimated street value of approximately 500,000 PLN. Two 19-year-old Ukrainian nationals were arrested at the scene during the active production process.
The suspects were brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Siedlce, where they face charges including participation in an organized crime group and the production of significant quantities of narcotics. The District Court in Siedlce has ordered the suspects to be held in temporary detention.
Legal Consequences and Public Health Risks
The suspects face potential prison sentences ranging from 3 to 20 years, with the investigation currently ongoing. Authorities emphasize that the operation was not incidental, but a highly organized effort to produce large volumes of illegal substances.
Consuming Alfa-PVP poses severe health risks, including aggression, psychosis, cardiac issues, and potential death. The substance is known for its rapid addictive properties and the high risk of volatile, uncontrollable behavior in users.
