On Sunday night a 28‑year‑old Ukrainian attacker bit the seal of a Sochaczew police radio vehicle, denting its paint, and was transferred to Ukraine’s border service the next Tuesday.
Incident at Sochaczew Police Headquarters
On the evening of 28 September, police received reports of an intoxicated, aggressive Ukrainian citizen threatening two men of the same nationality with criminal threats near the Sochaczew command.
Patrol officers from the Teresin Police Post were dispatched immediately to the scene.
Clawing the Police Vehicle
The 28‑year‑old, who had been brought to a police vehicle, refused to calm down and inflicted an unusual act of vandalism.
He aimed his teeth at the vehicle’s seal, biting off a fragment, which also damaged the paint coating.
This is the first time police vehicles have encountered such a biting incident.
Arrest and Charges
The Ukrainian citizen was placed in police custody and heard three charges relating to criminal threats and property damage at the Sochaczew District Police Headquarters.
Transfer to Ukrainian Border Guard
Because the man had prior conflicts with law enforcement in Poland, the Sochaczew District Police Commander requested the Border Guard issue a decision to deport the foreigner.
On 30 September, police brought the 28‑year‑old to the Border Guard facility and handed him over to the Ukrainian border service on the same day.
