Fire in Auto‑Parts Recycling Facility

At about 10 a.m. today, a 300‑square‑meter warehouse used for recycling auto parts on Lipowa Street in Bramki, a district of Warsaw, erupted in flames. The fire spread across the entire 15‑by‑20‑meter premise.

Response by Fire and Rescue Services

Eleven fire crews converged on the site, putting the blaze under control. The operation involved multiple hoses and the use of breathing apparatus, and the area was secured while traffic on Lipowa Street was temporarily restricted.

Injury and Medical Assistance

One employee sustained a hand injury. Firefighters provided first aid and transferred the victim to a medical rescue team.

Ongoing Fire Suppression Measures

The building was completely engulfed when the first units arrived, necessitating aggressive firefighting and careful inspection of the wreckage to prevent reignition.

Investigation and Police Involvement

The causes of the incident are under investigation by the fire and police services, and authorities remain on site until the building is fully inspected.

JRG Błonie reported that all workers had already vacated the premises before firefighters’ arrival, and that the fire was reported to the control center shortly after 10 a.m., with the structure measuring 15 by 20 m.
