The body of former Collegium Humanum deputy rector Paweł Cz. was found Friday in a Mokotów apartment, prompting a police investigation into possible foul play.
Body Found in Mokotów Apartment
The corpse of the former deputy rector was discovered in an apartment on Mokotów on Friday. Initial findings suggest third‑party involvement.
The prosecutor’s office has planned an inquiry into whether someone was driven to kill the individual. This follows standard procedure in cases where a body is found and suicide is a possibility.
Background: The Collegium Humanum Scandal
Kollegium Humanum was founded in 2018. In 2022, Newsweek exposed that the institution offered MBA diplomas in a short time, attracting beneficiaries including board members of state‑owned enterprises during PiS rule.
Later revelations showed that activists linked to the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions also obtained diplomas there.
The university was labeled in media a “diploma factory” and now operates under a different name.
Charges Filed Against Multiple Individuals
In June, the National Prosecutor’s Office reported that 72 individuals had been charged in the Collegium Humanum investigation with a total of 372 accusations.
Former rector Paweł Cz. faces allegations of leading an organized criminal group and forgery of academic certificates and documents related to master’s studies and thesis defenses.
