Green Tracks See Trams Return to Warszawa’s Marszałkowska From Oct. 13

Trams will resume service on Marszałkowska street on Monday, October 13, 2025, after a four‑month upgrade that installed green tracks and modernised platforms between Królewską and Świętokrzyska.

Trams Resume on Marszałkowska

Service will restart on 13 October 2025, ending a four‑month suspension on the section between Królewską and Świętokrzyska.

Modernisation Works Completed

The upgrade involved replacement of rails, drainage systems and the traction network, as well as rebuilding stops at Świętokrzyska with extended platforms.

Green Tracks and Tree Planting Scheme

A green track section has been laid between Królewską and Świętokrzyska, with an additional green track near Dmowski roundabout remaining covered for traffic crossings. Approximately 65 trees are planned along the track.

Implications for Traffic and Safety

The segment will feature two traffic lanes each way instead of three, increased pedestrian crossings, and continued access for emergency vehicles on covered tracks.

Broader Reconstruction of Marszałkowska

Planned upgrades include a turn at Złota Street, a left turn at Sienkiewicz Street to improve access to Złota and Zgoda, and extension of a missing bike lane on the east side between Świętokrzyska and Królewską.
