Car Hits Teens in Pomerania, Driver Flee; 10‑Year‑Old Dies

A vehicle struck four teenagers aged 10‑16 in the town of Łebieńska Hut on Tuesday evening, killing the 10‑year‑old, while the driver escaped the scene.

Tragedy at Łebieńska Hut

According to the portal nadmorski24.pl, the accident occurred around 19:30 on Tuesday in the locality of Łebieńska Hut. A car ran over four youths aged 10 to 16, one of whom died on the spot; another sustained a severe leg injury requiring amputation performed at the crash scene.

The driver fled the scene immediately, and police are currently investigating the circumstances.

10‑Year‑Old Dies

One of the teenagers, aged 10, died despite ongoing resuscitation efforts. Reports from Polish Radio 24 confirm the death, while eyewitnesses and police at the site note the emergency response.

Details

Firefighters from four Wejherowo county units, as well as teams from JRG Kartuzy and OSP Pomieczyno, responded to the scene. A rescue helicopter from the Air Ambulance was dispatched to the location.

Three other children were transported to hospitals; the 12‑year‑old’s condition is severe, and the 13‑ and 16‑year‑olds are being monitored in medical facilities.
