On Friday, October 10, Magdalena Ejsmont signed a contract with the Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW). From Monday, she will assume the role of senior adviser to SKW chief Gen. Jarosław Stróżyk.
She is expected to lend specialist knowledge, particularly concerning threats from the Russian Federation, according to long‑time assistant Antoni Kania‑Sieniawski.

Ejsmont earned an aviation traffic management degree at the National Defence Academy and completed postgraduate studies in organized crime and terrorism at Warsaw University.
Until 2017 she served in special operations, including a year in Afghanistan. After returning to Poland she worked on foreign intelligence, exposing several Russian and Belarusian agents operating in the country, and led a high‑profile negotiation that secured the release of a Polish citizen detained by Belarusian authorities.
Demotion by Macierewicz
Despite her operational successes, former Minister of National Defence Antoni Macierewicz charged that Ejsmont had contacted the family of the detained Polish citizen without SKW approval, leading to her demotion from major to captain.
A disciplinary proceeding was also initiated against her during this period.
Later Career and Roles
Afterward, Ejsmont served in Warsaw’s Security and Crisis Management Office, overseeing mass‑event security. In 2022 she became commander of the city’s municipal guard.
