The Polish President’s Office announced a September tender to lease eight brand‑new luxury cars, detailing technical specs and a three‑year cost of 3.86 million PLN.
Tender Details for Eight New Luxury Cars
The President’s Office published a bidding document in September, calling for the lease of eight factory‑new, unused passenger vehicles from the E segment with either combustion or hybrid/plug‑in drive. Technical criteria require a minimum 1,900 cm³ engine displacement, at least 210 kW total power, overall length of no less than 4,850 mm, CO₂ emissions below 50 g/km, leather upholstery and steering wheel trim, and a black exterior.
Bids were to be received by 28 October.
Three‑Year Lease Budget and Allocation
According to “Rzeczpospolita”, the office plans to spend 3.86 million PLN over three years to lease the eight vehicles, using them as needed to handle domestic and foreign delegations and ongoing duties. The current lease of the current eight cars expires next year, prompting the new tender.
Likely Usage by Presidential Ministers
The paper noted that the cars will most probably be used by ministers appointed by the president.
Restricted Model Options
The specification limits feasible choices to a few models such as Mercedes E, BMW 5, and Volvo S90, and in particular their specific trims—Mercedes E 300 DE 4MATIC sedan EQ, BMW 530e xDrive PHEV, etc.
