Former Polish President Andrzej Duda has joined Zen.com’s supervisory board as a strategic advisor, tasked with corporate governance, regulatory oversight, and compliance with European and international financial standards.
Details of Duda’s Role
In an interview with ONET, Zen.com’s media contact Marta Tyszer detailed that Duda will serve in a supervisory‑advisory capacity. He will focus on corporate governance, regulatory oversight, and ensuring adherence to European and international financial supervision standards. The role is non‑operational and will be partly performed remotely.
PiS Politician on the New Position
During a conversation with Puls Biznesu, Duda explained his motivation: after years in public service, he wishes to leverage his experience to support technology and innovation that positively affect the economy. He said that working with Zen.com, a Polish‑origin company with global ambitions, aligns with that goal, and he is open to future board roles in other institutions.
Experts Comment on the President’s Post
Political scientist Prof. Małgorzata Molęda‑Zdziech, speaking to Gazeta.pl, noted that Duda is currently seeking a new niche. She observed that his presidency had been perceived negatively and that he had not been viewed as a standalone president linked to any party, but now may be “exploited” by private media and the private sector by entering a podcast or moving into business.
