On October 31, CNN reported that the Pentagon had carried out a military assessment indicating that sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would not compromise U.S. security. The White House was informed that the United States already possessed a sufficient number of missiles to aid Ukraine without weakening its own defensive capabilities.
