A police pursuit that began outside Warsaw on Sunday, 2 November, ended in a crash that injured and hospitalized one officer.
Chase Commences Near Warsaw
On Sunday 2 November at about 11:40 a.m., traffic‑control officers in Pruszków County, Masovian Voivodeship, decided to stop a driver of a Skoda. The driver ignored the order and continued driving, prompting the officers to begin a chase.
Accident on Concrete‑Plate Road
The Skoda entered a stretch of road paved with concrete plates that turned into a one‑way road in the Pęcice area of Pruszków County. When the police reached a bend, their radio van lost traction, went off the road, and struck a tree.
Officer Injured and Hospitalized
As a result of the collision, one police officer sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Suspect Manages to Escape
Multiple police patrols were dispatched to the scene, and the area was secured by law‑enforcement services. Meanwhile, the pursuing driver, who had been chased by the officers, fled the scene. Investigations are underway to ascertain his identity and effect an arrest.
