On Friday, 31 October after 23:00, a passenger BMW caught fire on the S8 toward Warsaw near Zielonka. While driving, smoke first emerged from under the hood, followed by flames.
Firefighting Response
Responders from JRG Wołomin and OSP Zielonka arrived promptly. They applied water jets to the entire front of the vehicle, quickly containing the blaze.
Traffic Impact
During the operations, both traffic lanes on the S8 were blocked, causing delays for drivers heading to Warsaw.
Aftermath
After extinguishing the vehicle and confirming no further danger, the teams returned to their base. Police secured the site.
