Sejm marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty publicly apologized to Szymon Hołownia for not voting in the November 18 election for vice marshal, explaining he had been marked absent by the system.

The vote took place on Tuesday, November 18, and was supported by the majority of MPs. Hołownia received 261 votes in favor, 14 against, and 162 abstentions, with 23 MPs casting no vote.
Czarzasty Explains Absence on November 20
During Thursday, November 20 proceedings, Czarzasty clarified that he had never pressed the vote button, expressing regret after a system error had caused the omission.
Change in the Vice Marshal Position
Per the coalition agreement in mid‑November, Hołownia was set to succeed Czarzasty as Sejm marshal; however, the agreement also stipulated an interim period during which Czarzasty would remain in office until the transition.
