On December 1, Mayor Żmuda‑Trzebiatowski contacted Weekend FM radio and withdrew remarks he had made about the incident that occurred on November 28. He admitted that, when speaking to a reporter after the event and confessing to driving after drinking, he was “surprised and stressed.” He stated, “It would have been best if we had not spoken at all. I spent the whole night at the police station and I was in total shock.
