Incidents at Smoleńsk Memorial: Kaczynski Blasted for Silencing Protesters

Kaczyński entered the memorial on December 10, but his speeches were quickly interrupted by a crowd of opponents. Protesters shouted “liar, liar!” and accused the Law and Justice president of breaking the law.

Kaczynski Accuses Police and Politics of Lawbreaking

The former prime minister said that a journalist was subjected to a pre‑trial for asking questions during the demonstration, calling it a “clearly unjustified interference”. He criticized police for failing to respond to the disorder.

Kaczynski Labels Opposition as “Putin‑Agency”

During his address, Kaczyński called the opposing faction a “Putin‑agency”, asserting that it undermined the rule of law and the integrity of state institutions.

Repetition of Protest Disruptions

He noted similar incidents had occurred in November and each time his speeches were interrupted. Kaczyński warned that patriotic courts would eventually punish wrongdoers.
