White House Calls Trump NSS Leak Report Fake News

The White House has dismissed claims that a leaked, unpublished version of President Trump’s National Security Strategy suggests drawing Poland out of the EU and partnering with Russia, labeling it as fake news.

Defence One Allegations

US portal Defence One disclosed content purporting to show a complete, unpublished version of the National Security Strategy that would support pulling Poland out of the EU and create an international cooperation format involving Russia while excluding Europe.

White House Denial

White House deputy spokesperson Anna Kelly said the claims are fake news. She confirmed that the strategy published on the official website was approved by President Trump, distributed to his staff, shared with departments and agencies, and sent to Congress, with no alternate private or secret draft.

NPR Analysis

NPR described the December 6 strategy as portraying European allies as weak, aimed at reasserting U.S. dominance in the western hemisphere, criticizing European migration policy and free‑speech restrictions, and suggesting threats to their civilizational prospects, thereby challenging long‑term partnership credibility.
