Teenagers Destroy Paths and Greenery in Ursynów Linear Park with Electric Bikes

Teenagers riding electric bikes have bulldozed pathways, lawns, and trees in Ursynów linear park near Warsaw’s South Ring Road, causing significant damage and safety risks.

Extent of Destruction

Explosions of deep ruts and scattered vegetation damage have been documented in several spots across the park. Lawns, tree beds, and segments of narrow walkways are reported to be crushed.

Legal Consequences

The Warsaw Greenery Authority deems the vandalism a public property offense, threatening legal liability for the perpetrators. Costs for repair will be imposed on those responsible; minors responsible will be held liable through their parents or legal guardians.

Park Features and Location

The linear park runs along the South Ring Road, stretching roughly 2 km from Pilecki to Nowoursynowska on F. Płaskowicza Street. Its paths and promenades are largely on the tunnel’s roof, forming a popular walking route.

Call for Public Assistance

Authorities urge residents to report further vandalism incidents to Police or municipal City Guard to aid in enforcement.
