Police reported that a group of Colombians had gathered in a workers’ hostel in Starachowice, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, for an evening of drinking. At some point a quarrel broke out between a 19‑year‑old male and another Colombian, while the rest of the group slept.

Details of the Attack

During the dispute the attacker used a knife to stab the victim, inflicting a severe wound to the sternum. Emergency services were called and the young man was transported to a hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life.

Police Response and Investigation

Six Colombians, aged 21 to 48, were arrested—five men and one woman. Prosecutors are conducting an investigation to determine the extent of the detainees’ involvement in the night’s events.
