A 39-year-old Polish man has been arrested for three months over sexual crimes against minors in Ostrołęka and Warsaw.
Arrest and Charges
The District Prosecutor’s Office in Ostrołęka announced on January 14, 2026, that the Regional Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation against Tomasz M., 39, suspected of sexual crimes against minors under 15 and presenting pornographic content to children. The District Court in Ostrołęka has applied a three-month detention measure against the suspect.
Specific Allegations
Tomasz M. has been charged with raping minors under 15, exploiting dependency relations to commit other sexual acts, engaging in other sexual activities, and presenting pornographic content to minors. According to spokesperson Elżbieta Edyta Łukasiewicz, the acts qualify under articles 197 §4, 200 §1, 200 §3, and 199 §2 of the Penal Code. The alleged crimes occurred in Ostrołęka and Warsaw from July 2022 to August 2025.
Legal Consequences
The prosecution stated that for the alleged offenses, including the crime of raping minors, the suspect faces imprisonment of 5 to 30 years or life imprisonment. During questioning at the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Ostrołęka, Tomasz M. did not admit to the charges and provided explanations.

The spokesperson emphasized that no further details about the case will be disclosed to protect the victims. “Regarding the details of the events Tomasz M. committed against minors, due to the best interests of the minor victims and the nature of the acts, we cannot inform the public or media representatives,” the statement read. “The suspect’s behavior has been described in the charges presented to him.”
