A 17-year-old suspected of armed robbery was arrested by police after stealing a jacket worth 700 złoty from two teenagers at knifepoint.
Arrest Details
The suspect was apprehended by criminal police two days after the robbery. At the time of arrest, he was wearing the jacket he had stolen during the incident. Police secured a knife, brass knuckles, and mobile phones, one of which was reported stolen in another case.
Incident Description
A man reported to the police station about the robbery. Two boys, aged 13 and 16, were attacked by a young man who threatened them with a knife and stole a jacket worth 700 złoty from the younger boy.
Police Investigation
Criminal police quickly gathered necessary information, conducted several checks, and proceeded to apprehend the suspect. The 17-year-old was caught two days later near the location of the incident, wearing the stolen jacket and possessing a knife and brass knuckles.
Suspect’s Response
The arrested individual claimed he had no knowledge of the robbery and feigned ignorance when questioned by police officers about the allegations.
Legal Proceedings
Based on the collected evidence, the young man was charged with armed robbery using a dangerous weapon and receiving stolen goods. At the request of the Warsaw-Praga South District Prosecutor’s Office, a preventive measure of temporary arrest was applied to the suspect in court.
