A 63-year-old man was critically injured on Wednesday around 4:30 PM after being struck by a Koleje Mazowieckie train passing through the Warszawa Choszczówka station in Białołęka.
Details of the Accident
Preliminary findings indicate that the 63-year-old man crossed the platform safety line as a Koleje Mazowieckie train, potentially traveling at speeds near 160 km/h, passed through the station.
The victim sustained severe injuries, with unofficial reports suggesting the amputation of a limb. He was unconscious when transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Emergency services, including the police, two fire department units, medical rescue teams, and Railway Security officers, responded to the scene. Police are currently investigating the precise circumstances of the incident.

The accident has caused significant train delays, cancellations, and route changes affecting SKM lines S3, S4, and S40, as well as Koleje Mazowieckie services. Selected trains are bypassing the Warszawa Płudy and Warszawa Choszczówka stops in the direction of Legionowo.
