Fire erupted at a wedding in Targanice, Poland, prompting the evacuation of approximately 100 guests as firefighters battled the blaze.
Fire at Wedding
According to RMF FM, the fire broke out before 8:00 PM at a wooden inn building where a wedding was taking place. Numerous fire brigade units arrived at the scene.
Guests Evacuated
Press spokesman for the Małopolska Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, Capt. Hubert Ciepły, informed that about 100 firefighters with 23 fire trucks were fighting the fire. Approximately 100 people were evacuated from the venue. The wadowice24.pl portal reports that none of the guests were injured. According to firefighters present at the scene, the situation is very serious.
Fire Spreads Throughout Building
The fire has spread from one of the halls to the entire wooden building of the Baciarska Chata restaurant. About 20 fire brigade units from the entire area are working at the scene. The situation is not under control, according to Krzysztof Cieciak from the Wadowice District Command of the State Fire Service, as cited by wadowice24.pl.
