Polish Minister Wojciech Wrochna emphasizes that while Poland has achieved high energy independence, continuous investment in nuclear power is crucial for long-term stability.
Continuous Energy Independence
Polish Minister Wojciech Wrochna emphasizes that while Poland has already achieved a high level of energy independence, this is not a permanent state. He stresses that independence must be built continuously.
Nuclear Power Investments
Minister Wrochna identifies investments in nuclear energy as a key element of Poland’s energy strategy, providing stable, secure, and low-emission energy sources in the long term. The first nuclear power plant in Poland is expected to begin operations around 2036, which will be a source of clean and hopefully the cheapest energy.
Transition Away from Coal
Wrochna reminds that the energy transformation means gradually moving away from coal, which is not only highly emission-intensive but also increasingly affects the growth of electricity prices.
